Semester 1: ACT PREP opportunities

JUNIORS & SENORS, registration for the NEXT ACT PREP is open!

Join Marquette's ACT prep class to learn about the "Enhanced" ACT exam, practice the new format, and learn strategies for improvement! Instruction starts Tuesday, Nov. 4, in an AM or PM session. Juniors and seniors are given priority for each ACT prep class. If seats are available on Oct. 31, interested sophomores will be contacted.

  • Comprehensive classes will be offered before the Feb. exam (AM or PM session only) & April exam (AM & PM sessions).

 

Comprehensive ACT preps include: a textbook; over 20 hours of instruction/4+ weeks; & a review class. These sessions provide an AM or PM session option. This is by far the best type of prep class for growth; it is also a great value (around $90)! Comprehensive ACT preps occur before the Oct., Dec., Feb., & April ACT national exams. 

  • The next comprehensive class starts Monday, Sept. 15! This prepares students for the Oct. ACT exam

  • We will publish registration on Friday, Sept. 5 on/after 8:00 AM. Join the mailing list below to receive an email the day it is published.

  • The Marquette Library offers an assortment of ACT/PSAT/AP/etc. prep tests for checkout. Inquire within.
  • Learning Express is an online prep resource (for ACT and beyond) our Library subscribes to and Marquette students may also use it at home for free. See the Library for details.

Other Testing Contacts Often Helpful for PARENTS

  1. General Questions
    • Contact the Counseling Office and they will direct you. The Counseling Office is the hub available for phone conversations, while for most others listed below, emails are the best start.
  2. ACT Prep and PSAT Prep Classes
    • When a new prep class opens, we first publish it on Parent Square and ALL around MHS
    • For immediate general questions: Counseling Office
    • If specific questions about the ACT/PSAT test prep courses, contact: Ms. Melissa Burger *
      • *Please note that Ms. Burger is a classroom teacher (no secretary, office, etc.) so it's unlikely that she'll be able to answer immediately or directly. We encourage you to email inquires, rather than leave voicemails/phone calls (if you need to call, please start with the Counseling Office).
  3. National ACT exam registration, dates, and FAQs
  4. Questions about other tests (PSAT, AP, the Junior ACT at MHS) and/or Accommodations
