2024-25 Registration and Test Information

What is the PSAT/NMSQT test?

As part of the SAT Suite of Assessments, the PSAT/NMSQT measures the skills and knowledge that are essential for college/career readiness and success. It serves as a check-in on student progress to help pinpoint areas for development. The PSAT/NMSQT helps students prepare for the SAT and provides entry to the National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and college scholarships conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).

Testing at MHS

  • This is a voluntary test for students who are enrolled at MHS in grades 9 - 11
  • Students interested in participating in this test are required to complete an online registration form and submit payment

Registration Information

  • Registration is online and takes place between August 19 - September 8, 2024
  • Cost of exam: $25
  • Registration for the PSAT/NMSQT is now OPEN at https://user.totalregistration.net/PSAT/260591
  • There is NO late sign up for the PSAT

Exam Day Information

Exam Date: Monday, October 14

Arrival Time: 7:45 am

Exam Time: 8:00 am - 12:30 pm

** Please note 10/14/24 is a Late Start B Day. Students registered for the PSAT will be allowed on campus at 7:45 am. Testing will promptly begin at 8:00 am.

How do students receive their scores?

  • Scores will be available on November 7.
  • For those students who provided their cell phone number during the digital readiness check will receive a text message from College Board/BigFuture School app. You will need your cell number to securely access the BigFuture School app; no password is required.

  • Once you are able to access BigFuture School, you will see a sample list of growing careers in our state that connect to the math, reading, and writing skills demonstrated when you took the PSAT/NMSQT.

  • You can also opt in to Connections™ to receive communications from institutions that may be a good fit for you

  • If you did not provide your cell phone number or want to use the BigFuture School app, you can view your scores by logging into your College Board account.

  • Nothing will be mailed home by College Board or Marquette.
  • Students who qualify for College Board National Recognition Programs will be notified the following fall.
