Welcome to Marquette!
Dear Marquette Students and Staff,
Welcome to a new school year! The 2023-2024 school year is Marquette’s 31st year and I am excited to be leading you as the new principal of Marquette High School. We believe all students can succeed in high school and we are here to support you along the way.
Marquette has a history of excellence that continues to grow every year. We see this in our student’s academic successes in the classroom, recognition in school activities, and the overall high character of our students. As a Marquette Mustang, I challenge you to seek ways to get involved. Students that are engaged in their academics and school activities build a stronger connection to the school community and find more success in their four years of high school. Marquette offers numerous clubs, organizations, and co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities to appeal to a wide variety of interests a student may have. There truly is something for every student at Marquette. I encourage all of our students to get involved and participate and would love to see you play an active role during your time at Marquette. Participate in as many activities as possible as these four years go quickly, and you want to make the most of it. This is your chance to try new things, meet new friends, and develop new passions. Take advantage of each opportunity and find a way to get involved! These are the memories you will take with you following graduation.
Our Marquette staff is the best around and our teachers and staff are looking forward to working with each and every one of you this school year. We have a wide range of academic courses that students can choose from in order to spark new interests and possibly lead to post-secondary career paths. Challenge yourself in the classroom and know that you have a support system in place to help you. The Marquette staff is here to help motivate and encourage our students to be the best that they can be, open doors of opportunity for all kids, and ignite passions students didn’t know that they had. Teachers, administrators, counselors, coaches, sponsors, and support staff invest time, energy, and every possible resource to help our students develop both socially and academically. Throughout your four years as a Mustang, you will see that the Marquette staff is available, supportive, empathetic, and understanding while at the same time challenging and persistent. We believe in you and know that you are capable of great things! We push our students to achieve more than they ever dreamed possible and know that you will exceed those expectations.
Last school year, Marquette was named a Missouri State School of Character. This was a huge point of pride for our entire school community. I am excited to see how our students continue to demonstrate our core values every day; Respect, Integrity, Commitment, and Kindness. We are all responsible for upholding these values so that we can continue to grow as a community.
I am proud to be a Marquette Mustang. Let’s make the 2023 - 2024 school year the best yet! We are Mustang Strong!
